Madalyn Brymesser Female Student Athlete of the Month
Central Penn College would like to congratulate Madalyn Brymesser on being named Female Student Athlete of the Month for the month of September! Our Student Athlete of the Month award winner is not only someone who excels on the field/court, but someone who takes pride in academics and is involved in community service/leadership. Thanks so much to our partnership with Duck Donuts, we are able to provide our honorees with some Duck Donuts merch as well as a gift card for a dozen of their amazing donuts!
Coach Grubesky’s nomination:
I am nominating Madalyn Brymesser for Student Athlete of the Month for September for our women’s soccer team.
Since our team only played one match in September, I am nominating Mady Brymesser based on her stellar performance in goal versus Christendom. She had previously earned Player of the Week honors for her play in that match. However, her play was so critical in keeping the game close, our coaching staff recommends that she should also receive Player of the Month accolades.
In addition to her play on the field, her accomplishments in the classroom are also noteworthy. She attained a 3.5 GPA during the Summer term while studying in the rigorous Physical Therapist Assistant program. She accomplished this while also playing soccer and working a part-time job in her chosen profession.
According to Coach Grubesky, “In our program, we teach our student-athletes that it is important to work hard, be coachable, be a team player, and to show leadership on and off the field. Mady exemplifies all those character traits.”
Grubesky added, “As a senior, Mady is one of the leaders on the team. She directs our back four during the game. Mady also sets a very good example for her teammates.”
I am pleased to nominate Madalyn for this award as she is most deserving of this recognition for her overall efforts on the field and in the classroom.
Congratulations, Madalyn! Go Knights!
