Slow Start to Knight's Baseball Season

By Murray Ruggiero, Student Reporter

It has been a slow start to the baseball season this year. Due to winter weather, the Knights had to cancel or postpone ten games. Even with the ten games, as of now, missing from the schedule they still will play 26 more games. These 26 games will be played untill April 29. That is a lot of baseball in a short amount of time.

Over the term break, the Knights have a tough road ahead of them, playing a good mix of teams. Fifteen games will be played in just 15 days. The conferences and leagues of the opponents they will take on are NJCAA Division I, NCAA Division III, USCAA as well as NAIA Division II. The teams are Chesapeake College, Cairn University, Cazenovia College, Christendom College, University of Valley Forge, Penn State Hazleton and Kent St.-Tuscarawas. Come watch the Knights at these home dates!

  • March 28 – 1 & 3 p.m. Double Header with Cairn University
  • March 29 – 3 & 5 p.m. Double Header with Cazenovia University
  • March 31 – 5 & 7 p.m. Double Headerwith Christendom College
  • April 8 – 1 & 3 p.m. Double Header with Kent St.-Tuscarawas

The Knights baseball team started spring break off strong. The Knights took on USCAA division opponent Vaughn College on March 24. Vaughn College made the drive from Queens, NY. The game ended in a 19-0 Central Penn win. After not playing for 22 days this was a great game for the Knights to get back on track.
