Central Penn women won their sixth consecutive game by beating Penn State Mont Alto, 60–43, in an away contest, raising their record to 6–1. Powered by Ja'Lynn Burton-Jones’ 36 points, the Lady Knights led the entire game. They jumped out to 6–0 in the first minutes and never looked back.
The teams battled back and forth during the first half, with Central Penn up 27–20 at halftime. In the second half, the Lady Knights extended their lead to 13 at the end of the third quarter, 43-30, shooting 50% from the field.
In the final quarter, Central Penn didn’t let up, outplaying Mont Alto by a 17–13 margin. Seven different players scored for the Knights. Sharai Thornton and Leana Borreli both added six points, with Hannah Brown chipping in five. Karley Coleman had 16 points for Mont Alto.
Central Penn defeated Mont Alto earlier in the season, 61–47, in the championship game of the tip-off tournament.
