Cross Country Coach Adrienne Thoman was pleased with how the season went on two counts. One, despite the near-constant rain every weekend, the team was able to participate in all five events––three community 5Ks and two intercollegiate meets––during August and September.
And two, just the progress made individually by the 13-member team. “The best part of the season has been seeing our students improve with each and every practice,” says Thoman, who also serves as activities director.
“The first time Hannah Mason ran a 5K under 30 minutes, the first time Destani Matthews completed a distance of 4 miles, the first time Drew Ingram ran 5 miles, etc. Each and every team member accomplished something that they were working toward,” she says. “And I’m so proud of them all!”
